From a young age, Zara has had a constant affection for children and caring for them. Combined with her zeal for science, she would eagerly like to pursue a profession in pediatrics.

 

Zara has gained considerable experience in the medical field through HOSA, an association of students who would like to become health professions. In 2015, Zara competed in HOSA through taking an online test and placing sixth in the Frisco District. Additionally, she was HOSA Secretary from 2015 until 2016. Currently, she is an actively participating HOSA member. 

 

As a high school student in her second year of the Independent Study and Mentorship Program, Zara is also studying under Dr. Diana Dickschat, a general pediatrician, during ISM II.  

 

Outside of career-related activities, Zara is part of the Reedy Choir and is a choir officer, is the National Honor Society Induction Committee Chair, and participates in Key Club. She also volunteers at the Frisco Public Library, Crescent Hospice, Saddlebrook Memory Care Center, and a variety of other places.
