Create Your Own Sunshine

Throughout the past week in ISM, I worked on obtaining a mentor and asking Dr. Dickschat if she would be my mentor again. Additionally, I created a display board plan draft in order to begin thinking of ideas if I am planning on scrapping my board design from last year or if I would simply like to adjust it. Furthermore, I wrote another interview assessment covering Dr. Li Li’s interview with me.

Pertaining to my mentor, I am excited to say that Dr. Dickschat has agreed to be my mentor again for this and I am hoping to continue my pursuit in the pediatrics profession through mentor visits and research assessments. She taught me quite a bit of information and assisted me in coming up with ideas for my original work and final product and not just relating everything to the medical field but making it holistic. Dr. Dickschat can benefit me and my ISM journey by continuing to teach me the ins and outs of pediatrics, but also the behind the scenes aspects that might not be as clear as normal, everyday operations.

Moving onto my display board plan, I am quite honestly thinking about keeping the same board as last year, or at least the same outline of ideas and color scheme. I thought I executed my board design extremely well and I will end up most likely keeping a very similar design. I feel as if my entire board design accurately represents pediatrics and all that it stands for.

In conclusion, I have been diligently working ahead in order to further my learning in pediatrics and improve my work habits throughout ISM.
