Wherever You Go, Go With All of Your Heart

Wow, less than a month until graduation! As I began writing this weekly report, it officially hit me how much progress I’ve made this past year in learning about my dream profession, pediatrics, through ISM.

I especially reminisced over my experiences with my mentor of two years, Dr. Diana Dickschat. Hopefully, I will have another mentor visit this Friday with her and I can finalize my final product and go over any last minute items to make this project as memorable and impactful as possible. I am still in awe that I have had this once in a lifetime opportunity of shadowing a doctor who takes some time out of her day each week to teach me and assist me with my projects.

Alongside that, updating my portfolios provided me with some moments of nostalgia,l as I thought back to last year, while I was making my board for research showcase and how eventful my final presentation night event was. There are a few adjustments that I would like to make pertaining to my specific room during this year’s final presentation night, including a more thorough explanation of my research conducted and an emphasis on my original work.

In conclusion, I am praying that my continuation of ISM until graduation will provide me with some amazing last few opportunities.
