Don't Lose Your Present to Your Past

This past week in ISM was spent mainly brainstorming final product ideas and decluttering (as well as updating) my portfolios and other aspects of the assignments and papers I have received.

My final product is quite interesting, as it is concerned with the business medical factors, as well as the regular pediatric relation. In fact, Dr. Dickschat came up with the idea because her son attends an elementary school in the Frisco Independent School District. AlphaBEST, a company dedicated to providing children with an extended after-school program, is an extremely successful nationwide organization that also possesses an array of snack/lunch choices. However, I noticed that some choices are not as healthy as others and the nutritional value that these children are receiving could be much greater. Even though some of these choices are absolutely beneficial, part of my final product includes informing children about comprehending what they are putting in their bodies, but in kid-friendly and fun terms.

Moving onto the decluttering portion of last week, Mr. Speice had told us the week prior that he was moving multiple deadlines in order to take some weight off of our shoulders. That definitely assisted me in cleaning out my Google Drive folder and adding in the missing weekly reports and assessments. I was also able to update my digital portfolio in order to reflect my new learning, obtained from my original work, and revise and edit my blog. Additionally, I was able to enhance my binder portfolio and assess the professinaly and consistency of it.

In conclusion, last week was quite eventful and aided me in getting back on track and completing my assignments early. I hope to continue this gradual decrease of procrastination and the continuing increase of gained knowledge in pediatrics.
